ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Specialist to protect our retail assets and maintain a safe environment for both customers and employees. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of security practices, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond calmly in high-pressure situations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor store activity through CCTV surveillance systems and floor walks to detect suspicious behavior
- Conduct apprehensions of suspected shoplifters in accordance with company policy and applicable PA state laws
- Investigate theft incidents, including internal and external cases, and prepare detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with store management and law enforcement as needed during security incidents
- Perform routine audits and inventory checks to identify shrinkage trends and vulnerabilities
- Train store associates on loss prevention best practices and awareness
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in loss prevention, security, or law enforcement
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment and loss prevention technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and documentation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; willingness to work varied shifts including nights and weekends
- Valid driver's license preferred
